What payment methods are accepted?
AquaLots accepts all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — AquaLots never stores your card details.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. All payments on AquaLots are handled by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment processors. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and your payment information is encrypted end-to-end. We never have access to your full card details.
What is the buyer fee?
AquaLots charges a small buyer fee on each transaction to cover the costs of running the platform and processing payments securely. The fee is shown clearly at checkout before you confirm payment — you will never be charged more than the amount displayed.
When is my payment taken?
Payment is taken immediately when you confirm checkout. Funds are held securely by Stripe and are only released to the seller once you confirm receipt of your item. This protects you throughout the transaction.
Does the seller receive my payment immediately?
No. Seller payouts are held until you confirm delivery or collection, or until 7 days have passed after the item is marked as delivered with no dispute raised. This ensures you have time to flag any issues before the seller is paid.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If there is a genuine problem with your order — such as an item not arriving or not matching the listing — contact us through our contact page as soon as possible. Do not confirm delivery if you have an unresolved issue, as this releases the seller's payout.
What if my payment fails?
If your payment fails at checkout, no funds are taken and you can try again with a different card or payment method. If you continue to experience payment issues, check with your bank or contact us for assistance.
Can I pay in instalments or use buy-now-pay-later?
AquaLots does not currently support instalment payments or buy-now-pay-later services. All purchases must be paid in full at checkout.
