Creating a Listing
How do I create a listing?
Go to Sell in the top navigation. You'll need a verified email address and a connected Stripe account before your first listing can go live.
What listing formats are available?
You can list as an Auction (buyers bid, highest wins) or Buy It Now (fixed price). Auctions also support a reserve price.
Fees & Payouts
How much does it cost to sell on AquaLots?
It's completely free to sell on AquaLots — no listing fees, no final value fees, no seller commissions. A small platform fee is charged to the buyer at checkout, not the seller.
When do I get paid?
Stripe pays out to your bank account on a rolling schedule, typically every 2–7 business days after a sale completes.
Shipping & Collection
Which couriers can I use for live fish?
APC Overnight and DPD are the most widely used. Do not use Royal Mail for live fish — it is prohibited under their terms.
Can buyers collect in person?
Yes — you can offer collection as a delivery option on any listing. Always meet in a safe location and confirm payment before handing over.
Seller Dashboard
Where do I manage my listings?
Go to Account → Selling. You'll find tabs for Active, Sold, Ended and Sales history.
How do I mark an order as dispatched?
In Account → Selling → Sold, find the order and click Mark as Dispatched. Add a tracking number if your courier provides one.
